Double WA70m/60m (Rec/LB) or Double WA50m (Compound [ind. face] & Barebow [122cm face])

Accompanied Juniors are welcome but there are no separate rounds.

REGISTRATION

From 08:00 onwards. AGB membership cards to be shown on request.

 

TIMINGS

Equipment inspection from 08:30, Assembly 09:00 - Followed by 45 minutes practice - Shooting from 10:00.

 

TARGETS

All bow styles will shoot on layered foam targets.

 

AWARDS

Individual Awards: Medals to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for each Round – Medal to 1st place, medals to 2nd and 3rd place for Recurve, Compound, Barebow and Longbow.

SHOOTING RULES

Archery GB Rules of Shooting will apply. Archery GB Dress Code Rule 307 will apply and be enforced. Blue Denim, Olive Drab and Camouflage are not permitted.

The Tournament Organiser has the right to exclude any persons from the field for unreasonable behaviour. The Chair of Judges is responsible for the safe conduct of the shoot at all times and the Judge’s decision is final.

 

CARBON ARROWS

The venue is a playing field and all arrows MUST be accounted for. All lost arrows must be reported to a judge.

It is the archers responsibility to locate any lost arrows before leaving the field.

If you intend to shoot all carbon arrows, you must indicate with your entry how you intend to find them should you miss the target.

 

DRUGS TESTING

Archers competing at record status tournaments may be liable for drug testing. Competitors who are approached to give samples must comply.

Non-compliance will be treated as a positive result.

Parents and guardians must authorise drug testing of junior archers (Under 18’s) by signing the entry form.

 

REFRESHMENTS

BBQ for Breakfast and Lunch. No vegetarian options available. Free drinks available all day. Cash and card payment. Ice-cream van to arrive during lunch break.

 

SMOKING

Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes) is only permitted behind the tents. Please do not leave cigarette butts on the ground.

The University has requested that there is no smoking or vaping within 5 meters of any building. Entry to this event is considered acceptance of this policy.

 

DATA PROTECTION

When you enter competitions, the following information may be collected and shared with tournament organisers, scoring systems and other competitors, for example target lists and results will be published:

First name, surname, gender, bow type, date of birth/age category, email, address, phone number, Club (and ID), County (and ID), Region (and ID) Round (unless defined by age), Disabled (Y/N).

 

PHOTOGRAPHY

In line with the recommendation in the Archery GB Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy, the promoters of this event request that any person wishing to engage in any video, zoom or close range photography should register their details with Event Organiser/Club Official at the spectator desk before carrying out any such photography.

If parents/carers have any particular concern about their child/young person being photographed or filmed they should notify the organisers.

The promoter reserves the right to decline entry to any person unable to meet or abide by the promoter's conditions.

If you are concerned about any photography taking place at this event, please contact the Event Organiser/Club Official who will be pleased to discuss this matter with you.

 

TENTS AND PARKING

Line-tents are permitted for this event and must be sited in the marked area. Car parking is available adjacent to the shooting ground. Cars are not permitted on the shooting field.

 

ANIMALS

Bournemouth University does not allow dogs on site, so only registered assistance dogs are permitted on the field and MUST be kept on a lead and remain behind the waiting line at all times.
