A very warm welcome to Bournemouth Archery Club

The purpose of this website is to give visitors an insight as to what the club can offer for those interested in pursuing archery as a sport, and to give members relevant information regarding club activities.

Club Location
We are pleased to be able to offer an environment that is both conducive to social and competitive archery.  The club is based at Bournemouth Sports Club (BSC) at Chapel Gate, East Parley (virtually opposite Bournemouth airport at Hurn) where members can shoot 7 days a week. 

Indoor Venues
We also have good indoor venues at the Rifle Range within BSC, shooting there on Tuesday and Friday evenings during the winter, and at Victoria School, Branksome on Saturday mornings during the indoor season.

Introduction to Archery
The club runs three ‘Introduction to Archery’ courses during the year in March, May and September, which gives people interested in archery a good idea of what the basic skills and knowledge are.  Details of these courses can be found in a later section of the website.  Please note that successful completion of an ‘Introduction to Archery’ course (or similar) is a pre-requisite for those wishing to become members of the club.  We also have a small team of qualified coaches that can assist members to improve their archery skills

Archers
The club is also very proud to have several archers, both senior and junior, representing Dorset & Wilts, the county team.  In addition, we have a number of archers that have competed at both national and international level. We also have many archers that just enjoy their sport and meeting new people in a friendly, social environment.  The annual fun shoots are particularly well attended and very enjoyable.
